Prior Distributions for ELISA Analyses

چکیده
Based on the design of the ELISA calibration in the comparability study CCQM-P58, three measured signals are simulated at each of the 11 known concentrations (100, 50, . . . , 0.195, 0) ng/ml. These calibration data are simulated according to Model (1.1) using the parameters β = (1.466, 0.1024, 67.93, 1.361), a = 3.933 × 10, c = 9.710 × 10, and are listed in Table 1. Based on the comparability study CCQM-P58 as well, there shall be one unknown concentration, say 8.4 ng/ml, that is measured three times, each at full concentration and three dilutions. Simulated measurements of this ‘unknown’ concentration are listed in Table 2. Under the same settings, 16 additional ELISA data sets were simulated and analysed. In

Bayesian Estimation of Reliability of the Electronic Components Using Censored Data from Weibull Distribution: Different Prior Distributions
The Weibull distribution has been widely used in survival and engineering reliability analysis. In life testing experiments is fairly common practice to terminate the experiment before all the items have failed, that means the data are censored. Thus, the main objective of this paper is to estimate the reliability function of the Weibull distribution with uncensored and censored data by using B...
متن کاملIntroducing of Dirichlet process prior in the Nonparametric Bayesian models frame work
Statistical models are utilized to learn about the mechanism that the data are generating from it. Often it is assumed that the random variables y_i,i=1,…,n ,are samples from the probability distribution F which is belong to a parametric distributions class. However, in practice, a parametric model may be inappropriate to describe the data. In this settings, the parametric assumption could be r...
متن کاملDetermination of Maximum Bayesian Entropy Probability Distribution
In this paper, we consider the determination methods of maximum entropy multivariate distributions with given prior under the constraints, that the marginal distributions or the marginals and covariance matrix are prescribed. Next, some numerical solutions are considered for the cases of unavailable closed form of solutions. Finally, these methods are illustrated via some numerical examples.
متن کاملPredictive distributions for between-study heterogeneity and simple methods for their application in Bayesian meta-analysis
Numerous meta-analyses in healthcare research combine results from only a small number of studies, for which the variance representing between-study heterogeneity is estimated imprecisely. A Bayesian approach to estimation allows external evidence on the expected magnitude of heterogeneity to be incorporated. The aim of this paper is to provide tools that improve the accessibility of Bayesian m...
متن کاملReporting Bayesian analyses of clinical trials.
Many clinicians wrongly interpret p-values as probabilities that treatment has an adverse effect and confidence intervals as probability intervals. Such inferences can be validly drawn from Bayesian analyses of trial results. These analyses use the data to update the prior (or pre-trial) beliefs to give posterior (or post-trial) beliefs about the magnitude of a treatment effect. However, for th...
